Science and validity are key factors when measuring stress. That’s why StressDown uses the leading test on the market – the Perceived Stress Scale (pss-10) by Dr. Sheldon Cohen.
The test is recommended by two of this country’s leading experts within prevention, management and treatment of stress – Professor Per Bech and Professor Bobby Zachariae.
The procedure
Simply answer 10 questions. The test focuses on the things you have experienced over the last 14 days.
It’s quick and easy, and the app even helps you to remember when it’s time for a new test.
Your results are presented on a graph – most recent and over the last 12 months.
To help you prevent and manage stress, your STRESS LEVEL is compared with your ENERGY BAROMETER.

ABOUT STRESSDOWN
StressDown is a scientifically-based app, designed to help manage and prevent stress. StressDown measures your stress level and identifies what gives and takes energy in your life.
The app gives you your own psychologist in your pocket, available around the clock to give you the means to manage stress, and to help you find and retain a healthy balance.
Behind StressDown
StressDown was developed by Occupational Pscychologist Anne-Mette Holst. Anne-Mette holds an Msc. in psychology from Aarhus University, and is authorised by the Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological Practice.
The app is based on Anne-Mette’s professional experience with occupational stress over the last 15 years. StressDown is therefore based on a solid foundation of tried and tested knowledge, stress management tools and hands-on practice.
A broad panel of expert psychologists provide regular input to the app, including on specific methods, applied psychology for use in app form and ethical considerations, all designed to help ensure that StressDown is always updated with the latest know-how, and that its methods are scientifically viable.
Why StressDown?
Around half a million people in this country suffer from stress on a daily basis. That’s 1/12th of the population in danger of falling ill due to stress. This is a social problem that needs immediate action, and one of the solutions is to do so before sufferers actually become ill from stress.
There’s a lot that can be done to prevent stress, but sufferers are often ignorant of what is available. That’s why Anne-Mette developed StressDown – a stress-preventive psychological aid that is easy to use and available 24/7.
